70% of Small Businesses Fail Because of This Mistake

Marketing agencies always brag about the results they got for clients, when in reality, everyone has failures—they’ve spent a lot of money on ads that didn’t work.
Today, I will share a mistake that I made so that you can avoid it.
I'm jealous of you because this cost me money to learn, and it will cost you only 2 minutes of reading to avoid.
The Costly Mistake
A week ago, I started a paid ads campaign for one of my clients.
My client is a tour guide. (A tour guide is someone who guides people through landmarks.)
I got around 200 leads (contacts of potential clients) with 300 euros…
“Wait a minute, Halil, that’s actually a good result—are you bragging!?”
Yes, you’re right—that’s a good result… but how many clients did my client get from those 200 leads?
Only 1.
Why?...
200 people signed up for my client's newsletter.
60 people filled out a form asking my client to contact them.
I lost 59 qualified potential clients.
How?...
I made an automated email for these 60 leads where I asked them:
“Do you have a wish list?”
“Are you visiting alone?”
“When are you visiting?”
I got only one response.
These people had to write an email for 15 minutes just to provide me with the information I needed.
15 minutes!
Do you have 15 minutes to write an email?
No one does.
I see marketing agencies asking potential clients to jump on a 30-minute call with them.
Would you ask a woman to marry you on the first date?
Businesses are asking clients to marry them immediately.
Businesses send huge contracts that customers must read before they can buy.
Why? It's a stupid mistake but I made this mistake too—mistakes happen but we need to learn from them.
Here’s How I Fixed It...
I lowered the threshold of the offer.
I created a simple landing page where I asked them to fill out a 30-second quiz that would qualify them for a specific tour my client offers.
No more 15-minute emails.
Just 30 seconds to answer the quiz.
Automatically redirected to a tour they would be interested in.
They book the tour right then and there.
Total process: 3 to 5 minutes.
Lesson:
🚀 Don’t ask people to invest a lot of time and energy just to buy from you.
🛒 Make buying from your business easy—crypto, PayPal, cash...
💳 Have every payment option on the table to speed up the buying process.

P.S It’s better to fail than to never try Google ads, social media ads. I assume you worked with a marketing agency that didn’t bring in new clients for your business, but that doesn’t mean digital marketing doesn’t work…
